Public art projectt: Sculpture Arena East, Oslo

Helen Eriksen, Ebba Moi and Stefan Schröder have collaborated in the artist initiated project space, Tenthaus Oslo since 2009. Through public exhibitions and workshops Eriksen, Moi and Schröder have investigated the role of artists working in schools. They work through creative partnership contracts and establish themselves as artists in residency in the schools. A group of the school’s children are invited to spend time with the artists and experience art in practical terms. They have also gained insight into positions of the artist in contemporary society.

Collaborators in this project were Professor Dr. Anne Bamford, pupils from Sinsen Primary and Secondary school 2009-2010, Hersleb Secondary School 2010-2011 and Sofienberg Upper Secondary School 2011-2012.
